Seminar series
The Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods hosts seminars to discuss a variety of theoretical and practical issues of sustainable livelihoods in Africa.
We have three major goals for the seminar series:
- To foster increased understanding of the sustainable livelihoods framework among interested faculty members, staff, and students at ISU.
- To highlight current interdisciplinary research activities and interests of ISU faculty members and students, particularly in collaboration with CSRL's partner organizations in Uganda (Makerere University and Volunteer Efforts for Development Concerns).
- To identify areas among faculty and students that have research and development potential and will contribute to improving the well being of rural Ugandans.
